Collegis Education Appoints Sunny P. Chico to Board of Directors

CHICAGO (August 24, 2021)— Collegis Education, a leader in technology-enabled higher education services to help universities grow enrollments, deliver quality learning and strategically manage technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sunny P. Chico to its board of directors. Chico brings a robust background in education solutions, advocacy and policy to Collegis. Chico’s appointment is effective immediately.

Chico is the president of SPC Educational Solutions, LLC, a mission-driven organization that delivers innovative education programs designed to help schools meet their improvement goals so that students, parents and communities can succeed. In addition, she has held distinguished positions at the federal and state government levels, serving as Regional Secretary for the U.S. Department of Education and serving in the State of Illinois Lieutenant Governor’s Office as lead on education matters.

Chico has served on various boards of prominent nonprofit organizations, such as the Goodman Theatre, the Harris Theater and Teach for America. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Vitalant, the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood service organization. She also serves on the Blood Science Foundation and is a member of its Finance Committee. She is active at the University Club of Chicago and serves on its Admission Committee.
