Collegis Education earned honorable mention as one of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2017. Collegis was ranked against companies of its size in its Chicago and Twin Cities markets, and earned the recognition based on employee survey results.
“We are extremely proud to be named one of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2017. As a relatively new company that has experienced significant growth, we are pleased to see such strong results and positive feedback from our Chicago employees,” said Patrick Branham, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
The Top Workplaces survey measured key qualities of a company such as leadership, communication, career opportunities, working environment and managerial skills, as well as pay and benefits.
After the announcement was made, Collegis employees were invited to respond (anonymously), and had this to say:
“Everyone is truly content. You never hear the watercooler complaints that you hear at other companies,” was one employee’s response.
Another said, “Collegis is home to the most intelligent, innovative and inspiring employees I’ve ever worked alongside.”
Of note: the survey’s results indicate that most employees agreed with the statement that their job makes them feel that they are part of something meaningful, and that the company motivates them to give their very best work.
Collegis currently has 277 employees and has offices in both Chicago and Minneapolis. Among some of the more popular initiatives enjoyed by employees are: an annual employee-volunteering day at local charities, opportunities to serve on a committee that plans year-round social events for employees, and mixed-use space that creates opportunities for collaboration.
