This Privacy Policy divulges the privacy processes for Collegis Education. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, all references to “Collegis Education” include all customers who are maintained within the Collegis Education Network Infrastructure.

What Information Do We Gather About You?

We collect information from you when you access any Collegis Education websites, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and when you subscribe to our email service.

What Do We Use Your Information for?

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to control our websites by identifying (1) which parts of our sites are most heavily used, and (2) which portions of our audience comes from within the Collegis Education Network.

The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or requests or questions.

Collegis Education may share user information with third-party partners to the level necessary to deliver and expand our services. Third parties are restricted from using or sharing user information for any use other than providing aids to users.

Information may also be given to third parties in instances where Collegis Education believes this data is adequate to adhere to laws, legal processes, regulations, and other requests by government agencies. Device Information Collected by Us

We may collect non-personal information about the computer, mobile device or another device you use to access Collegis Education, such as IP address, geolocation information, unique device identifiers, browser type, browser language or other information of this nature. We use this information in an aggregated fashion to track access to Collegis Education. At no time do we disclose site usage by individual IP addresses. Collegis Education retains, on a temporary basis, server logs and then these logs are automatically deleted.

Boundaries of the Collegis Education System

Collegis Education boundaries include the wired and wireless infrastructure within its offices, data centers, and supported campus locations. Collegis Education supports two variations of wireless infrastructures: Guest Wi-Fi and Corporate Wi-Fi. The Guest Wi-Fi accounts only allow access to the Internet and is outside the scope of this privacy policy.


Cookies are generated when users Internet browser loads particular websites. These sites load information onto the browser that is then stored on the user’s device in the form of a text file. Cookies are used to know and retain your setting for future visits and assemble data about sites and traffic communication. This information allows Collegis Education to offer better tools and experiences in the future website versions. Third-party service providers may also be contracted to help us understanding our visitors. These third-party providers are not allowed to use this information gathered on our behalf of Collegis Education other than to help us improve and conduct business.

Third-Party Cookies

Cookies may be set by an organization other than Collegis Education. Sites such as Facebook, Google Plus, YouTube, Twitter, or other social media services include third-party cookies for which Collegis Education has applied “plug-ins”. The cookie policies for the example site or other sites outside of the Collegis Education controlled network. Therefore, users should review the privacy policies for these sites separately. Additionally, users do have the option of disabling cookies on their individual browsers.

We may provide links to third-party websites as a convenience to users of Collegis Education. Collegis Education does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for the content of the linked-to, third-party websites or any hyperlink in a linked-to website. Collegis Education is not responsible for the privacy or content practices of third-party websites.

Email Policy

We will not sell, rent, share, authorize or swap any email address for commercial marketing purposes without your permission.

Email Subscriptions

The Collegis Education, LMS systems allow you to subscribe online and receive notifications from within your online courses. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, follow the “unsubscribe” instructions located within the online class to cancel this subscription.

If you send email messages, be aware that information disclosed in email messages may not be secured or encrypted and thus may be viewable to others. We suggest that you exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personal or confidential information within the email. We will use your provided email address to respond directly to any questions or comments that may have been posted.

User Generated Posts

We offer opportunities for you to participate in discussions within your online classes, including submitting comments and replies on selected articles or readings used within your classes. Any information you disclose in your submission or comments, including name, email, website, and the comment itself is the property of Collegis Education and visible on internal servers. Additionally, information regarding name and comments shall be internal and viewable by other students enrolled in that same course, instructors, and administrative staff. The course facilitator also works as the moderator for the information being posted on the course discussions, and other forum pages. The moderator will have the ability to restrict or remove any post that is deemed unsuitable for internal use. These posts will be archived before their removal if further investigation is needed.

User Generated Posts Terms

You shall not distribute, upload to or publish on the LMS system (“Services”) and slanderous, obscene, abusive, pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise banned material; any comment believed to contain any of the above followings. You will not intentionally disturb discussions with a meaningless message, “spam”, or repetitive messages. The language our users use must not abuse or categorize on the basis of nationality, religion, sexual preference, race, gender, age, disability, region, etc. The act of impersonating another staff member or user by selecting a similar account name is also considered banned and is not allowed. Any conflicts of interest must also be disclosed as soon as possible. Any comments containing the above will not be posted for circulation within the course or the internal servers, if approved, will be removed.

Collegis Education reserves the right to edit, delete, or move posts that it are determined to be abusive, obscene, defamatory, in violation of copyright, trademark, or otherwise unacceptable.

By making a post, you agree to its publication and privacy policy on the Internal Site and in the Services and for related uses.

When you share or like (with or without adding additional information) any content or posts from the Collegis Education network to a Google+ profile, Twitter, or Facebook, that linking of data is now controlled by the Privacy Policies of the social media site.

Protection of Information

Commercially reasonable applications and devices have been implemented to maintain the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of Collegis Educations customers and users. All these efforts still do not guarantee all Internet security. All users should still remember to be cautious and discreet in their individual use.
